What is Lipo-C?

A compounded blend of methionine, inositol and choline (MIC) + L-carnitine + vitamin B12, formulated to support weight management and overall wellness.

AJ Peptide’s Lipo-C is a defined four-component formula: methionine, inositol and choline (the MIC core), plus L-carnitine and vitamin B12. It is not a peptide and not a weight-loss drug on its own; it is used alongside a plan that includes nutrition and physical activity.

Whether Lipo-C is appropriate for you is a decision your clinician makes based on your health evaluation.

Proposed benefits

Based on the established role of each ingredient.

  • Methionine, inositol, choline (MIC core)Established roles in hepatic (liver) lipid handling and one-carbon metabolism.
    • Methionine – a sulfur-containing amino acid; a precursor for methylation reactions and lipid metabolism.
    • Inositol – a sugar alcohol involved in insulin signaling and cell-membrane function.
    • Choline – an essential nutrient the liver needs to export fat; choline deficiency is linked to hepatic steatosis (fatty liver).
  • L-carnitineShuttles fatty acids into the mitochondria for beta-oxidation, where fat is burned for energy. It is given by injection because oral carnitine has notably poor bioavailability.
  • Vitamin B12Included for tolerability and general metabolic cofactor support, not as an independent energy or fat-loss driver.

What the evidence shows: each ingredient is a well-studied nutrient with a known role in metabolism. Controlled clinical studies of the combined Lipo-C injection are limited, and most ingredient research used oral supplements. Lipo-C is not a substitute for diet and exercise, and individual results vary.
